band news
still working on layout...
in other news, we have a direction now, to say the least. we have a new song list:
we'll think about it

song b (new and imporved)
cuarents (also rearranged)
expect to see we'll think about it and shellfish up in less than a week.
maybe more. i swear, we'll make the suburbs shake. may-ish. watch out.

Revampage of existance.
On that fateful day of a week ago or so, the Modern Arts was disbanded.
It has been reformed as a new band - the Modern Arts - featuring Sam Farzin and Jimmy Hollander. A new site design and everything is in order so that will be done soon.

I'm eating cereal
and it's damn good...
Ahem.
Anyway, we have Song B and Cuarentas down to a tee. A TEE, I tells you! So, this has paved the way for new songs to be created, namely, one of a lonely pirate. There are others, but I shall not speak of them, for blasphemy is a sin.
Basically, it's my way of saying I can't remember anything else at the moment.
Yeah, this was mostly just an update to show that the band site isn't dead, nor is the band.
The show must go on!

newsish stuff
we got our cd...and it wasn't very good, to say the least.
we are on a new practicing track. we need a vocalist, maybe.
we are going to practice like fiends and get our musical mettle on par, and then we'll worry about vocals and lyrics.

updates
found a web-based ftp client, so i updated the biography, song titles, and sidebar. mp3s and lyrics coming soon.

news stuffs
recording was fun...the disc should be coming tomorrow or thursday, and mp3s will be up subsequently.
in other news, the band roster has been altered; i will update the sidebar once my computer is fixed. at this point in time the following are the appointments:
mr. james hollander = lead guitar/vocals
mr. jonathan bibiyan = rhythm guitar
mr. thomas detoy = bass
mr. sam farzin = drums
in addition, some of the songs have been put off indefinately; the aural stimulation page will be updated. we are now working on the following tracks like madmen:

telepathic bugs
genius bar
my face is on fire
does this sound reasonable?
with a second guitar and bass we sound infinitely cooler. mp3s to come.
with any luck, we'll play at school in march or april. then we will take over the world with our behemothness. but not really. we can't wait to play live, but we need to practice like fiends for the next month or so until we can rock irvine. yes, rock irvine. make the suburbs shake. or something.

Sunday Night
Ok so we recorded nice takes of Song B, My Face is one Fire, and You Suck at Life. We have to review them once they are mixed and mastered before we can discuss the fates of these recordings.
Also, some business may be going on with personnel changes and whatnot. Nothing is definite yet so I just won't say anything.

Ok these are the ones we can hoefully finish on Sunday. We'll have to practice like fiends to be able to record them all in one day, but hopefully it can be done. Note that I took out "Damn that Bird". It doesn't really fit with the other songs at all, so for now it is shelved.

Ok here I am people
So I am finally saying something on here. Sam is wanting me to type up lyrics but I don't have time now so meh, later. We really are missing a lot of lyrics to these songs so I am just going to try to write them all today and they will be placed upon this site hopefully tomorrow.

we practiced yesterday, learning the songs better and getting tighter for our recording date next sunday.
we also compiled our recording list for the 30th.
